All this time we’re spending at home right now means more time to catch up on all the shows Netflix has to offer.
We recently found Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star, a reality competition TV show based in the UK that brings together 10 competitors who face different challenges each week to prove themselves as a make-up artist.
Each week sees one contestant sent home, eventually narrowing down to one winner. The Netflix original series only has two seasons so far but it’s quickly gaining popularity in the world of streaming.
The first episode of season two features a familiar brand, competitors are asked to create make-up looks for models as they shoot for JD’s 2019 holiday campaign. For this challenge the 10 competitors are split into two groups, then each group is given a brief to follow in order to create looks for the models.
One team is tasked with incorporating gold into the make-up look and the other team is asked to use silver. Once their make-up is done, the models from each team are shot all together and the looks are assessed by the show’s judges. While both groups of models are dressed in head-to-toe JD sportswear perfection, you’ll have to tune in to see who wins.
The featured apparel was a mix of brands JD carries including Nike, adidas, Fila, Supply and Demand, Champion and more. Even though the show was shot last holiday season, you can still find similar outfits to what was worn on the show that are still available. The men’s adidas Swift Run Running Shoes along with the 3-Stripe Pants and the Trefoil Hoodie is exactly like the outfit one of the male models had on for the shoot. One of the female models had on a Nike outfit that included Air Max 270’s along with Nike Leggings and a hoodie.
