Have you ever heard of the Color Run?
It’s a 5K fun run that started in Utah in 2011 and is now held around the world. Participants who traditionally wear white clothing are showered with colorful powders at points along the course, resulting in a rainbow of a party at the finish line.
A new collection from adidas takes that one step further, with kicks that look like they’ve been run through a puddle of paint during the design process.
The Run Thru Color pack is exclusive to JD Sports and features an UltraBoost, a ZX 2K Boost and an NMD silhouette for all your workout or chill-out needs.
We all know and love the UltraBoost, which brought adidas’s unbeatable Boost midsole cushioning into the spotlight in 2015. This one comes with a sleek black upper with an unmissable yellow “dip” from end to end, covering the mudguards, midsoles and heel counters.
The ZX 2K boost, which you may remember is the latest iteration of the ZX family whose lineage stretches back to the 80s, also features a black upper while the bottom half appears in a deep red that’ll have you burning up the track, trail or sidewalk.
Then there’s the NMD_R1 Spectoo, a new take on the iconic NMD style, with a black knit upper featuring text graphics and a translucent side stripe that’s almost Yeezy 350-ish. The black upper is offset by a white “dipped” look below.
