Pay tribute to Tokyo with this new Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG

The 1988 Michael J. Fox flick Bright Lights, Big City may have been about New York, but its title could just as easily have described the capital city of Japan.

Think of Tokyo, the most populous city on the face of the Earth, and the first thing that may come to mind is the neon glow from the cityscape that can actually be seen from space.

Those brightly lit signs and the “rapid pace of life in Tokyo” are the inspiration for the color palette on Jordan Brand’s latest retro release of Michael Jordan’s first signature model.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Baroque Brown’ uses dark, earthy tones and a muted silver Swoosh toward the heel of the suede upper, but as you get to the pointy end of the shoe, the lights come on in a big way.

Electric blue and indigo feature on the toebox and overlay, while an orange tongue leads the eye up to a Racer Pink sock-liner.

Pay homage to Japan’s capital city when the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Baroque Brown’ drops in Men’s and Kids’ sizing on 9/4 on jdsports.com.
