A familiar colorway appears on the classic Air Jordan 4 Retro for an all-new combination

North Carolina has played a major part of Jordan’s legacy, even to this day through his ownership of the Charlotte Hornets.

It shines through in another part of Jordan’s legacy too — his sneaker line. The eye-pleasing shade known as “University Blue” has come to life not only on Jumpman silhouettes but across the Nike family from Air Force 1 to Zoom Rev 2.

We’ve seen University Blue applied to a handful of Air Jordan 1 retro releases over the past couple of years, from the Off-White version that dropped in 2018 to 2019’s Obsidian/UNC colorway and the ‘UNC Chicago’ version from the Fearless collection.

Now, with Spring in full force and summertime rushing up to meet us, we have a new entry in the range for all you North Carolina fans out there.

The Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘University Blue’ applies the namesake palate to the iconic silhouette for the first time since it released in 1988.

That familiar blue tone covers the suede uppers, while speckled Tech Grey can be found at the midsoles, heel tabs and wings. Black and white highlights complete the picture.
