Turn heads all over the galaxy this summer with the Crocs Classic Clog ‘Space Jam’

Anyone who grew up in the 90s knows how enormous a cultural moment the movie Space Jam was.

Starring some of the most recognizable faces in the universe — both in real-life and on celluloid — the film combined live action and animation to rocket Michael Jordan and his cast of Looney Tunes cohorts (even further) into the stratosphere, quite literally.

The 1996 flick, which enjoys a cult following despite decidedly mixed critical reviews, was born in that specific era where movie merchandise tie-ins were huge, resulting in uhh stuff like this.

It also birthed one of the more iconic Air Jordan colorways, the AJ 11 ‘Space Jam,’ which Mike wore in the movie to defeat the evil Monstars on the court. The ‘Space Jam’ colorway has emerged twice in retro form since then, in 2009 and 2016, to huge hype.

Space Jam has been the subject of plenty of talk over the years of a remake starring the larger-than-life LeBron James, he himself no stranger to the silver screen.

The project eventually came to life, with James dropping the teaser a few months ago ahead of the release of Space Jam: A New Legacy later this month.

LeBron debuts the 19th edition of his signature Nike Basketball line in the movie, but if you’re looking for a less performance-oriented sneaker that celebrates the return of Space Jam, Crocs has you covered.

One pair features the bright concentric circles of the iconic Looney Tunes logo, while the other dazzles with a futuristic purple-to-blue gradient colorway emblazoned with graphics that’ll remind you of The Matrix.

Enter orbit with the Space Jam x Crocs collection when it releases on 7/24 at jdsports.com and in stores.
