For the upcoming NBA season, Warriors star Steph Curry isn’t just unveiling a new signature sneaker.
He’s starting a movement.
The three-time champion and three-point ace wants to “Change the game for good,” and so goes the slogan for his new venture, Curry Brand.
Backed by Under Armour, where he was a signature athlete since 2013, Curry Brand aims to support local communities by “bringing the joy of sports to every kid.”
Starting in Oakland and growing throughout the country, that means providing safe places to play, the equipment and resources to help support team sports, and to develop and encourage leadership and coaching.
But don’t worry, hoops fans: Steph has still dropped a new signature sneaker. The Curry 8 is the latest in the line and the first to incorporate Under Armour’s UA Flow technology.
It’s a foam cushion that’s totally rubberless, reducing on-foot weight while maximizing traction on the hardwood. According to Curry, it “feels unreal.”
The second colorway, ‘Golden Flow,’ features a clean white upper and gorgeous golden overlays and details.
