Actor. Rapper. Singer-songwriter. Philanthropist.
That combination of titles could describe a number of celebrities, but once you add “sneaker designer” to the mix, that narrows it down a long way.
For the purposes of this blog post, let’s be clear: We’re talking about Jaden Smith.
The son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett has performance in his DNA. He’s got three studio albums and a bunch of movie credits under his belt, and now he has a collaboration with New Balance bearing his personal style.
The New Balance Vision Racer, which takes design inspiration from Jaden’s favorite legacy X-Racer and 1700 models, while putting The New Karate Kid star’s own touches on it.
The latest colorway of the sustainable shoe adds a splash color to your Summer rotation. It features recycled materials from top to bottom as a part of New Balance’s effort to reduce its manufacturing footprint. Since it uses synthetic leather, it’s even vegan-friendly.
This time around it’s composed of a white upper, and colorful overlays.
Underneath, behind a translucent rubber outsole, the words “Vision Racer” printed in a rainbow gradient cap off the funky design.
